Oude Geuze Boon

Gueuze, abv 7.0%

Appearance: Three finger fizzy white head. Apricot dark golden beer. Settles to half a finger very puffy head.

Smell: Strong citrus smell. Very musty smelling. Some pepper. Smells damp. Green apple.

Taste: Upfront lemon citrus and tart. Obviously sourness. Vinegar taste. Funky barnyard taste. Dry finish that is started by the tartness.

Mouthfeel: Moderate carbonation. Medium body. Dry the whole way.

Overall: Pretty good beer. Being not too well versed in Belgian gueuze I cant make a large claim about it. To me its drinkable and very funky and complex enough to enjoy. I love the funk and down right barnyard taste to it. As someone who fell in love with sour beers not too long ago I can say I will return to this one once I try more.

?/5 (dont have enough experience in sours)
